About W.C. Chapman & Sons
W.C. Chapman is a specialized industrial distributor focused on high-performance cutting tools, abrasives, and metalworking fluids for CNC machining and manufacturing operations. Our product lineup includes carbide end mills, drills, taps, threading tools, boring tools, indexable inserts, toolholders, bandsaw blades, coolants, and precision abrasives. We carry premium brands selected specifically for performance in demanding metalworking applications.
Our core customer base is small to mid-size CNC machine shops and precision manufacturing companies throughout Maryland and Delaware. We also serve larger manufacturing accounts, aerospace and defense suppliers, and we are actively expanding our reach nationally through our online store at shop.wcchapman.com.
W.C. Chapman & Sons was founded in 1951 and is currently owned and operated by Brian Znamirowski, second-generation family owner. The company has served the regional machining community for more than 70 years, building its reputation through technical expertise, deep inventory, and personalized service.
Our facility is located at 8220 Pulaski Highway, Rosedale, MD 21237. We maintain a large in-stock inventory at this location for same-day will-call pickup. Customers in Maryland and Delaware are served by our field sales team, and customers nationwide can order through shop.wcchapman.com.
Yes. Chapman has been family-owned and operated since its founding in 1951. Brian Znamirowski, the current owner, is the second generation of family leadership and is actively building the company’s digital capabilities to position it for future generations.

Yes. Tooling for difficult-to-machine materials is a core focus for Chapman. We stock and specialize in high-performance carbide end mills, drills, taps, and inserts specifically selected for applications in Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, hardened tool steels, and other challenging workpiece materials. Our sales team can help match the right tooling and parameters to your specific application.

Chapman offers multiple ways to order: starting in May of this year, order through our online store at shop.wcchapman.com (registered accounts), by phone at 410.686.6860, by email at sales@wcchapman.com, or directly through one of our outside sales representatives if you are in our Maryland or Delaware territory. Will-call pickup is also available at our Rosedale, MD facility during business hours.
Yes. Our online store at shop.wcchapman.com is set up for registered business accounts. This allows us to display your account-specific pricing and apply your credit terms accurately. You can request a new account through the website or by contacting our sales team directly. New account requests are typically reviewed and approved the same business day.

Many of our long-standing customers continue to order this way, and we are happy to accommodate whatever method works best for your shop.
Yes. Chapman supports purchase order-based ordering for established business accounts. Your PO number can be captured during online checkout or referenced when placing orders by phone or email.
Chapman does not require a minimum order. We accommodate orders of any size, from a single cutting tool to large volume purchases. Our goal is to keep your machines running, regardless of the quantity needed.
Yes. If you know the part number — whether it’s a Chapman part number, manufacturer part number, or vendor catalog number — our online store includes a Quick Order feature that allows you to enter part numbers directly. You can also provide part numbers when ordering by phone or email and we’ll locate them in our system.
Yes. Registered online account holders have access to their order history and can reorder previous items directly through shop.wcchapman.com. Customers ordering by phone or email can also reference a previous order and our team will pull it up quickly.
Pricing & Accounts
Registered online account holders can view their account-specific pricing directly at shop.wcchapman.com after logging in. Customers without an online account can get pricing by calling 410.686.6860, by email at sales@wcchapman.com, or directly through one of our outside sales representatives if you are in the Maryland or Delaware territory. Our team will provide accurate pricing based on your account tier and any applicable volume or contract pricing.
Yes. Chapman uses account-specific pricing that reflects your purchasing history, volume, and account terms. Pricing is tied to your account and displayed automatically when you log in to the online store. If you believe your pricing needs to be reviewed or updated, contact your sales representative or reach out to our inside sales team.
Absolutely. Volume-based pricing is available for many products and is factored into your account pricing tier. For high-volume purchases or project-based buying, contact our sales team to discuss options.
Yes. Established business accounts may qualify for net terms. Credit terms are applied to your account and reflected during the online checkout process or when ordering by phone and email. New customers interested in applying for credit terms should contact our sales team to get started.
Yes. A 2% surcharge applies to all credit card purchases. This fee is applied at the time of payment and will be reflected in your order total. Inventory & Availability
Yes. Chapman maintains a large in-stock inventory at our Rosedale, MD facility. Many of our best-selling cutting tools, abrasives, and metalworking fluids are available for same-day will-call pickup or immediate shipment. Keeping local stock is central to our model — we know that machine downtime is expensive, and we work hard to have what you need on hand.
MD Stock items are physically on hand at our Rosedale, Maryland warehouse and are available for immediate pickup or same-day shipment. Factory Direct items are sourced directly from the manufacturer and are not stocked locally — these orders carry a lead time that varies by vendor and product. Inventory status is displayed on each product in our online store.
Inventory levels on shop.wcchapman.com are synchronized with our internal system and updated frequently throughout the day. For critical or time-sensitive orders, we recommend confirming availability with our inside sales team by phone before placing the order.

Yes. Will-call pickup is available at our Rosedale, MD location at 8220 Pulaski Highway 24-7, 365 for orders placed during normal business hours. For in-stock items, orders can often be ready the same day. Call ahead to confirm availability and pickup timing.
Shipping
Yes. Chapman ships orders via our outside sales personnel in the local, MD & DE areas and UPS nationwide. Shipping is processed from our Rosedale, MD facility. Online orders and phone/email orders are both eligible for shipment.
n-stock (MD Stock) orders placed during business hours are typically processed and shipped the same day or next business day. Factory Direct orders are subject to manufacturer lead times, which vary by product and vendor. Our team will communicate lead time expectations at the time of order.
Absolutely. While Chapman’s local customer base is concentrated in Maryland and Delaware, we ship to customers throughout the United States through our online store at shop.wcchapman.com. National customers are encouraged to create an online account for the most efficient ordering experience.
Returns & Customer Service
No returns are accepted without prior authorization. To initiate a return, contact our sales team at 410.686.6860 or sales@wcchapman.com before sending any items back. Authorized returns may be subject to a restocking fee. Items must be in original, unused condition. Factory Direct (non-stock) items may also be subject to the manufacturer’s own return policies.
